The Beginning
Once upon a time, there was a lonely, thin, gray wolf who went by the name of Nova wandering through the deepest parts of the Midwest plains. One day, the sky turned a bruised purple, rain hammered down, thunder roared, and wind gusted fiercely. Nova began to shake and hurriedly searched for shelter. As she neared civilization, she saw a remote gray building that emitted an unpleasant, clattering hum.
The top of the building read “Frito-Lay.” As she approached and scanned it, she found a small opening and entered. The noises made her tuck her tail and flatten her ears, and she considered leaving, but knew her pups would not survive the storm. She sneaked into the darkest corner of the factory, behind a storage container, and rolled up into a tight ball. A couple of days later, her pups were born. Her hands were full with a litter of six pups. The pups began to rapidly grow as the weeks went by.
